BAR vs SVYC Club Match This Sunday

The annual BAR vs SVYC Club match is set to take place this Sunday, May 4th, 2025, at Sea View Yacht Club. This highly anticipated event will see the two clubs compete for the Longspoons Trophy, a tradition steeped in history and friendly rivalry.
The Longspoons Trophy, presented by Keith Topley, Commodore of the Bar Yacht Club from 1992 to 1995, was originally contested at the Royal Solent Yacht Club in the Yarmouth One Design class. It later found its home at SVYC, where it is now the prize for this annual team racing match between the Bar Yacht Club and Sea View Yacht Club.
The trophy has been polished and is ready for this weekends winner.
