Royal Thames 250th Regatta Finishes in Style
The 2025 Royal Thames 250th Regatta concluded in style with the traditional passage race home to Seaview. The Seaview Mermaids commenced racing at the Royal Thames Yacht Clubs 250th Anniversary Regatta with two competitive races held in Osborne Bay today (Thursday). Conditions were highly changeable throughout the day, with the fleet experiencing what Dominic Crouch aptly described as all four seasons — a sentiment shared by many who returned to the Race Village soaked, sun-kissed, and wind-battered in equal measure. Royal Thames 250th Regatta: Mermaids Fly to Cowes in Perfect Conditions
The Royal Thames 250th Regatta launched today for the Mermaid fleet, with nine Mermaids representing Sea View Yacht Club passaging to Cowes. Helms for this years campaign are: Jimbo Mitchell, Raymond Simonds, Guy Lawrence, Richard Rivlin, Charles Youngman, Adele Carritt, Colin Simonds, Ben Few Brown/David Hunter, and Anna Cockell.
