World-Class Sailing Rules Expert Coming to Sea View Yacht Club Next Week

Just 30 tickets remain for what promises to be one of the standout sailing events of the summer, as internationally renowned racing rules expert John Doerr visits Sea View Yacht Club on Thursday 23 July.
With more than 40 years' experience as an International Judge, including eight Olympic Games and four America's Cups, John is recognised as one of the world's leading authorities on the Racing Rules of Sailing. His talks are renowned for making complex situations simple, practical and immediately applicable on the race course.
Whether you're preparing for Cowes Week, looking to improve your racecraft, or simply want to gain a better understanding of the rules, this is a rare opportunity to learn from one of the sport's most respected figures in an informal and engaging setting.
The talk runs from 7.00pm to 8.00pm, with tickets priced at £10, including a glass of wine, beer or soft drink, together with bar snacks.
To make an evening of it, Thursday is also Steak Night at the Club. Members are encouraged to book a table for dinner after the talk, as demand is expected to be high. Reservations can be made through the usual channels on the Club website.
With only 30 places now remaining, members wishing to attend are encouraged to book soon to avoid disappointment.
