Six-Gun Salute to Antony Blake Simms

A wake for Antony Blake Simms was held this afternoon at the Sea View Yacht Club, following a service at St Peter's Church in Seaview.
Friends and relatives gathered to mark the occasion and later went out on the club's RIB, Joy, to scatter Mr Simms' ashes off Seaview near No Man's Land Fort. As the ashes were committed to the water and a six-gun salute fired, a rainbow appeared over the Solent.
The afternoon provided an opportunity for those who knew him to come together, share memories, and say their farewells.
