New slipway & staging Grand Opening of Phase 1

There was a very pleasant gathering of members held for an impromptu grand opening ceremony of the first phase of the slipway and staging which took place on the new structure.
The ceremonial ribbon was cut by Sue Wakefield whose husband Nick has been so instrumental in overseeing this splendid achievement from initial plans to fruition.
A glass of something sparkling was raised to the inaugural use of the new staging by Nick Wakefield who pushed a pram dinghy down the slipway and rowed off, returned and brought the dinghy back up the slipway. All agreed that the slipway and staging is a magnificent accomplishment.
