Entries Open for Prince Philips Cup 2026 at Sea View Yacht Club

Sea View Yacht Club is pleased to announce that entries are now open for the Prince Philips Cup 2026, taking place on Sunday 21 June.
First presented by HRH Prince Philip in 1956, the Cup remains one of the Solents most respected inter-club racing events, bringing together yacht clubs from across the region for a day of competitive sailing and camaraderie.
The event will once again see up to 13 clubs competing in the Clubs iconic Mermaid fleet, with each team rotating helms across a six-race series to determine the overall winner. With identical boats and a tightly structured format, the racing is both highly competitive and evenly matched.
Open to all recognised Yacht and Sailing Clubs organising racing on the Solent, entries are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Alongside the racing, the day offers a full programme of hospitality including breakfast, lunch, and prize giving at the Club—continuing the events long-standing tradition of combining sport with strong social connection between clubs.
Clubs wishing to enter are encouraged to act promptly to secure their place.
