Easter at Seaview

Published 07:39 on 8 Apr 2023
We have a full programme this Easter. Full details can be found here.
The staging bar will be open all day Saturday. Other events:
Flag Officer drop in
Saturday 8th April, 9:30 to 11:30
Come along if you want to discuss with the Flag Officers some of the choices that underpin the Club's strategy. This drop in session will be a much better forum for a serious discussion on these choices than the AGM.
Village Regatta Easter Dance
Saturday 8th April, 19:30 to 01:00
What an amazing reception from the Seaview community for the first Village Regatta event of the season! Thank you to all that are supporting this great event.
The dance has now sold out. As this is a Regatta event, for any tickets that have been returned, please contact Tracy North (sandtnorth@aol.com) and not the Club office.
Easter Sunday Lunch at The Club
Sunday 9th April, from 12:00
This Easter Sunday Lunch at the Club is currently quite full, with sittings from 12:00 until 16:00 across the Club's main areas. We might be able to accommodate last minute and walk-ins - please contact Clare.
This year, to increase capacity we have added later sittings and laid on more staff. A late surge in bookings means we are currently full for what is the busiest Easter Sunday lunch at the Club in years - or maybe ever! But we still have availability for lunch on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Easter Monday.
For those of you with bookings, we kindly ask you to arrive on time for your tables. You will be greeted by Clare, James, or one of the House Committee upon arrival.
Drinks will be ordered from the bar, and food orders are taken from the table.
The Shed Bar on the waterfront staging will also be open.
Egg Throwing and Easter Bonnet Parade
Easter Sunday 9th April from 14:30 approx.
The Seaview Community Partnership's events will be held on the waterfront staging with Adam Jay now running the Egg Throwing and Piers Thomas, the Village Regatta President, judging the Easter Bonnets. Those taking part in the Egg Throwing should supply their own eggs. Entrance fees for the Egg Throwing (£2) and proceeds from the raffle will be split this year between the Seaview Community Partnership and the IW Food Bank.
We remind our members to drink responsibly if they plan to take part in the events and don't want egg on their faces.
Easter Sunday Lock-In at the Club
Sunday 8th April, 21:00 until late
This year we are reviving the Club lock-in over certain weekends in the season, starting Easter Sunday.
Addie Pinkster, leading this event, will be jamming with a piano/singalong in the downstairs bar.
Guitars, ukeles, maracas all welcome. We're on the lookout for anyone who wants to do a specific song early in the evening and otherwise, we've got a piano to jam us through.
WhatsApp Addie 07590079809 with any questions/suggestions/talents … or just rock up!
