Our girls are back in the water and looking wonderful

The Mermaid fleet are back off Seaview and looking really splendid in the glorious sunshine we are enjoying at present.

The Shakedown Race takes place on Wednesday 24th April, scheduled to start at 18:00 but will probably start no later that 18:30 and after the race there will be a supper.

There is another Shakedown Race on the following evening.

The Mermaid Nationals are planned to be held on Saturday 27 April with a start time of 10:30 but so far there are very few names down for this series of 5 races.

MERMAID BLOCK TROPHY is presented annually to the winner of the Mermaid ‘Nationals’ series of 5 races. This trophy an antique sailing block mounted atop a polished steel base and was donated in 2009 by Mike Randall, Captain of Mermaids 2007-10. So far only one name appears on this trophy as Jimbo Mitchell has won it every year.
