More than just Senior Cadet Week—now welcoming high-standard younger racers and adult keelboat sailors who want an energetic, fast-paced week on the water.
Course Overview
Our fourth week focuses on more advanced sailing while still welcoming a broad range of sailors. Traditionally ages 12-18, the week now also includes:
- Race-standard Cadet Squad Sailors aged 8-12
- Adult Mermaid & SVOD sailors (18+)
Classes include Optimists, RS Teras, Toppers, Picos, Fevas, Visions, Lasers, SVODs, and Catamarans—plus the chance to experience the Olympic-class ILCA (Laser), always a thrill.
The week features the ever-popular Thursday disco (12-18s) and concludes with Friday prizegiving.
SVOD & Mermaid Race Coaching (4-day course)
A performance-driven programme covering speed, rules, decision-making and teamwork.
- Mermaids Speed refinement, advanced trimming, spinnaker handling and short-course racing with on-water and video analysis. Minimum A helm standard.
- SVODs High-level racecraft with coaching led by Caroline Simonds or selected SVYC experts.

Flexible Options (MonFri)
Sprits (ages 6 and 7), private lessons, and small tailored groups available for younger siblings, emerging sailors or adults seeking more focused training.
