Project Seagrass Summer Workshop

Join Project Seagrass and local project partners for an informal and engaging summer workshop exploring the future of seagrass around the Isle of Wight.

This community event is an opportunity for Club members, local residents and anyone with an interest in our marine environment to learn more about the important work taking place to protect and restore local seagrass meadows. The session will include updates on current initiatives, the science behind seagrass restoration, the ecological importance of these habitats, and opportunities for the local community to become involved.

'Project Seagrass has been exploring ways to protect seagrass in Priory Bay, whilst maintaining access and supporting the boating community. Ideas and feedback has been gathered through an initial survey (open until 11th August and link here if you'd like to complete it). They would now like to invite the community to map out the next stage of the project.'

Project coordinators will be on hand to share progress, answer questions and discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with conserving one of our most valuable coastal ecosystems.

Whether you're a sailor, paddleboarder, conservation enthusiast or simply interested in the health of our local waters, everyone is warmly welcome.
