Cowes Week 2026
Mermaid Fleet Cowes Week 2026 Regatta
Bicentenary Edition
Overview
In 2026, Cowes Week reaches a landmark moment: its bicentenary year. Founded in 1826, Cowes Week is Britains original summer regatta and the longest-running sailing regatta of its kind in the world. Two centuries of racing, royal patronage, and international participation make this a defining fixture of the sailing calendar.
The 2026 edition will celebrate not only Cowes Weeks extraordinary history, but everything that defines it today—world-class racing on the Solent, a vibrant shoreside programme, and the distinctive blend of tradition and innovation that keeps Cowes at the heart of competitive sailing.
The Club is supporting member participation through its Mermaid Fleet, offering a structured, turnkey package for members wishing to compete in this historic regatta.
