Event Overview
Join us for a landmark evening at Sea View Yacht Club as we mark the start of the sailing season with a special Fitting Out Supper, set against the backdrop of the 200th anniversary of Cowes Week.
This important occasion celebrates the Clubs long-standing support of Cowes Week and its pivotal role in the history of yachting in the Solent. The evening brings together heritage, culture, and conviviality in a way that is distinctly SVYC.
The event is complemented by a curated exhibition from Beken of Cowes, showcasing iconic maritime photography alongside historic artefacts that reflect two centuries of competitive sailing.
A percentage of all Beken sales during the exhibition will be donated to The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, the named charity for the Cowes Week 200th Anniversary.
Beken of Cowes Exhibition
The exhibition will be open throughout the day and into the evening, allowing members and guests to explore a striking visual history of Cowes Week and yachting in the Solent.

The Club will be dressed overall for the occasion, including flags and decorations in the awning. Reefer jackets encouraged; ties optional.
