This 3 day course kickstarts our Members on water training and is available to any age group and at any level. We run a Beginner group, a racing group and a Mermaid group as standard, but we are very happy to add to these if enough people are interested in other classes. 

The Beginner group will get the chance to become familiar with their boats prior to the summer. The course is run on the Duver in (the Instructors) waist deep water. Lots of time is spent gaining complete comfort with the boat, therefore rigging and theory are equally as important as the sailing itself. 

The Racing group will spend the 3 days blowing away the cobwebs and getting plenty of tips and practice for roll tacks, roll gybes, kiting, starting and mark rounding. We will also use some video coaching to enable sailors to see for themselves what needs improving. 

The Mermaid A, B & C helm hopefuls have the chance to get useful hints on how to make a Mermaid go faster along with all the skills required to gain helming qualifications and start racing, Or take a boat to sail and learn with the whole family.
