Wednesday’s Warner Trophy was raced for by all 14 Mermaids and in near ideal conditions the race was won by Guy Mattinson. Thursday saw the evening race start in perfect conditions: wind, sun and not much tide. However, seconds after the first boat started, the wind dropped from 10 to 5 knots and stayed like that until the first boat finished, when the wind increased again.
