Sea View Yacht Club was founded in 1893 as Sea View Sailing Club, hence the Burgee with it's interwoven SS. The Club is and always was 'to encourage amateur sailing and boat racing'.

The Clubhouse was initially a room in the Pier Hotel (sadly no longer with us) but moved to it's current location in the early 1900s. The current Club stands on the footings of one of Henry VIII's Cow Towers which were set up around the coast of the UK to protect us from foreign invasion, Cliff Cottage & Miramar were the two houses that were combined to form the current Club house and reminders of each of them can still be seen can still be found around the current Clubhouse if you know where to look. Anyone interested please ask the staff love to help whenever we can in whatever your request.

The Pictures in the gallery will lead you through time from 1893 to the present day, we hope you enjoy them.
