The new Club Launch RIB is officially named Joy.

Sunday evening 12th July 2020, at the end of the evening SVOD race, Penny Mattinson officially unveiled and named our new Launch RIB 'Joy' in memory of her Mother, Joy Almond. Joy gave so much to the Club throughout her lifetime, a stalwart of the Race Deck team and the Midweek Mermaid sailors, for one, will miss her presence when the Mermaids return to the water next year, so it is wholly fitting that she will now be giving them a lift out to their boats. A lovely evening was shared by all as the wraps were removed to reveal Joy to the crowd. Joy will now be the mainstay of the Launch fleet as she is capable of carry multiple passengers all safely socially distanced from one another.
