SVYC SailGP Inspire 2019

Through our British Youth Sailing Recognised Club status two Sea View Yacht Club members were selected to represent SVYC in the SailGP Inspire series just prior to the main SailGP event in Cowes on Sunday. Emily Fox (crew) and Oliver Edwards (helm) [paired with Tom Slingsby for practise and one race] raced against 9 other BYS RC Clubs. Out of the 9 teams SVYC finished a very respectable 4th overall, this is particularly impressive when you consider that they were the lightest combination sailing, i.e. in the force 5 to 6 winds were very very under weight!!
