Gentlemen Members and history enthusiasts of the Isle of Wight are in for a treat as a special lunch event featuring a talk by Sam Biles is set to unravel the intriguing secrets of the Home Guard that operated on the Island during World War II.

Scheduled to take place on 1 March at Sea View Yacht Club, the event promises to shed light on the clandestine activities and heroic efforts of the Secret Home Guard, offering members a unique glimpse into a lesser-known aspect of the Island's wartime history.

Sam Biles is expected to captivate audiences with fascinating insights and untold stories surrounding the role played by the Isle of Wight's Home Guard in safeguarding the Island during one of the most tumultuous periods in modern history.

Organisers of the event are excited to welcome guests to participate in what is anticipated to be an enlightening and engaging afternoon of discovery and remembrance.
