Mermaids - Mills Bucket

The Mills Bucket (an Ice Bucket) is a Challenge Trophy presented by Major General Alan Mills (Vice Commodore 1970-72 and Seaview Mermaid class Captain 1970-74) and Mrs Betty Mills in 1976. The trophy is presented to the winner of a race consisting of three rounds, where the crew consists of a Cadet, an inexperienced helmsman and an experienced helmsman, each of whom has to sail a round. Since 2019 it has been an ordinary Mermaid race on the first day of the SVYC regatta.
