RYA Powerboat Instructor Course
The RYA Powerboat Instructor qualification enables you to run RYA Powerboat Level 1 & 2 + if you hold your Safetyboat Certificate you will be able to teach that too.
After completing your skills assessment the RYA Powerboat Trainer will run the course for the next 3 days. The 4th day will be a moderation day, this will be moderated by another RYA Powerboat Trainer.
Pre-requisites are RYA Membership, the Powerboat Skills Assessment, a valid First Aid certificate and a minimum age of 16.
The Powerboat skills assessments can be run at any time by an RYA Powerboat Trainer, it is always preferable to take this a little while in advance of your Instructor course however in the worst case scenario the skills test will also be run on the first of this 4 day course, you will be tested to check that you are up to speed with both theory knowledge and practical skill to the standard of Powerboat Level 2.
