To sail or not to sail, that was the question

The first team race match of the season was against the RVYC, however, it turned out to be too windy for team racing. But a fleet race around the cans was a different matter! Two short courses set by Hugh Eddowes allowed everyone to enjoy themselves and get wet. This was followed by an excellent supper. Wednesday – hardly any wind and lots of tide so racing was cancelled. For our entertainment, Robert Holbrook and Guy Mattinson demonstrated how to sail around a short course in only an hour. Thursday was slightly better and 10 boats raced, albeit slowly. First sighting of the Betchley/Harrison combo, who of course won.
