To sail or not to sail, that was the question
Published 13:38 on 15 May 2015The first team race match of the season was against the RVYC, however, it turned out to be too windy for team racing. But a fleet race around the cans was a different matter! Two short courses set by Hugh Eddowes allowed everyone to enjoy themselves and get wet. This was followed by an excellent supper. Wednesday – hardly any wind and lots of tide so racing was cancelled. For our entertainment, Robert Holbrook and Guy Mattinson demonstrated how to sail around a short course in only an hour. Thursday was slightly better and 10 boats raced, albeit slowly. First sighting of the Betchley/Harrison combo, who of course won.
