Mermaids - Wells Cup (Heats Possible)

The Wells Cup is a Challenge Cup presented in 1917 by the brothers of Captain
Walter (Froggie) Wells who was killed in action in 1915. Specific conditions attached
to its presentation stated: it could never be won outright; it must remain the property
of SVYC as long as the Club exists; it must be returned to one of the donors if SVYC
ceases to exist and that it must not be removed from the Club premises. The cup is
raced for annually.
